What Is a Seal End Box?

A seal end box is a packaging solution which comprises double overlapping panels with two dust flaps which slip easily underneath. With a pre-glued seal, these boxes provide secure and tamper-proof storage for a range of products. A tuck flap on the top side makes it easy to open, remove and replace the product, and close the box afterward.

Seal end boxes are robust and compact, so they’re great for shipping and distribution. They provide secure housing for smaller and more delicate products, too, such as cosmetics, jewelry, and personal electronics. They also collapse to flat pack, making them ideal in packing situations in which space is of a premium.

Structural and Style Features of Seal End Boxes

Seal and boxes are designed on a single sheet of card or paperboard which we print with your custom artwork and text, before cutting and folding to make the final carton. We can provide them pre-assembled or flat for storage and self-assembly. Beside the regular flat seal-end boxes, we can offer a range of other styles with perforated “rip strips” to allow customers to open the boxes more easily.

Which Products Are Best Suited to Seal End Boxes?

Most seal end boxes are made the seal end on both sides. We deliver the boxes flat-packed so you can assemble, load, and seal them in your own facility. Once these sealed boxes are opened, they cannot be re-sealed. Soap boxes, toothpaste boxes, and some medicines often use this kind of box.

    Seal End Box Material Options

Seal end boxes are normally made of either stiff paperboard or corrugated cardboard. Both are suitable for the structural needs of a seal end box. Which you choose depends on your design needs and your budget. Corrugated board is stronger and more rigid than paperboard, but paperboard may be better for full-color printing and customization.
