A Shoulder Neck Rigid Box — also known as a shoulder box, a neck box, a rigid box with shoulder, or a setup rigid box — is a premium three-piece rigid box made from a base, an inner shoulder (neck), and a lift-off lid. Because the lid lifts off and sits over a separate base, it’s essentially a two-piece lid-and-base rigid box with an added inner shoulder that creates the signature reveal edge.
The shoulder is fixed inside the base and slightly raised, creating a visible “step” or frame when the lid is placed on top. This exposed shoulder adds depth, alignment, and a refined architectural detail to the box.
The lid slides over the shoulder rather than directly onto the base, ensuring precise positioning and a stable, high-end fit.

Yes. You can leave a gap between the lid and base so the inner neck shows — for example a black box with a gold neck — for a striking, high-end contrast. The neck can be printed or finished in a different color from the lid and base.
