Metallic gold foil pressed onto the card for an elegant, eye-catching detail.

Metallic silver foil applied to the card, adding a sleek, reflective accent.

Raised designs for added texture and elegance.

Metallic foil applied to the edges of the card, creating a premium and polished look from every angle.

You can choose rounded or square corners to complete your custom deck of cards.
Custom Card Deck Sizes
We use die-cutting to make our cards. This involves making a cutting mold. We have the following size molds always in our stock:
Using our standard pre-made molds is the most cost-effective method. But if you need a custom size, that’s no problem. It just means that we’ll need to prepare a special mold for you and for that service, we’ll need to charge you a small added fee. We can make cards of any thickness you need and, for example, with children’s cards which need to be a bit more robust, we can glue two sheets together to make a sturdier custom deck of cards.
Custom Card Deck Boxes
We offer a variety of packaging solutions for your card decks. Because most decks need to be collated in a specific order, we’ll handle that first and then load them into a traditional tuck-end box, a telescope rigid box (with a separate lid), or a magnetic closure rigid box (with a hinged lid and magnetic fastening).
If your custom printed card dark doesn’t need its own box—say, it’s part of a board game—we can shrink-wrap it to fit inside your game box or secure the cards in a custom insert made of cardboard, molded PVC, or foam.

How should I prepare digital files for die-cut card printing?
It’s important that you prepare your files correctly to make sure that your cards come out looking great. Here, we share a few important tips.
- Export your files in PDF format for printing
- Make sure that you change the color space from RGB to CMYK before you export
- Export images as vectors whenever possible
- If you can’t use vectors — if you’re exporting bitmaps from Photoshop, for example — then make sure that you set the image resolution to at least 300 dpi
- If you have a design with colors or images which extend all the way to the edge of the finished sticker, remember to add a 3 mm “bleed zone” to allow for die-cutting
- If you’re not exporting your artwork as vectors, you must separate the die-cutting design and the printable artwork into two layers
If you’re working with a professional designer to create your files, they should understand what’s needed to make everything “print ready”. But if you’re working with design software yourself for the first time, these are the vital tips to remember before you submit your files. Still, our team of experts will always manually check all your files before we go to press. If we find any issues, we’ll let you know and help you resolve them.
Can I order a sample deck before mass production?
Yes, you can order a sample deck before mass production! We offer various proofing options to help you review the design, colors, paper type, and print quality of the final product.
If you’re unsure about our paper types, finishes, or want to see examples of past projects, you can also request a paper sample pack for reference. This means you can be fully confident before moving forward with your order.
How long does it take to print and ship custom card decks?
The production timeline typically ranges from 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the complexity of your order. Shipping times vary by location, but we provide estimated delivery dates upon order confirmation.
What file format should I use for custom card designs?
We accept high-resolution PDF files with a minimum of 300 DPI in CMYK color mode and a 3-mm bleed. Be sure to include bleed and crop marks for accurate printing.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide, including to the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, and more. We offer various shipping options, including combined sea and air freight, to suit your budget and timeline.
Do you support Kickstarter and crowdfunding projects?
Yes. We offer special pricing for crowdfunding creators and can coordinate multi-address fulfillment to backers worldwide. See our Kickstarter print solutions page for details.
What is black core cardstock?
Black core cardstock has a layer of black or dark-colored material between the front and back printed surfaces. This prevents light from passing through the card, making it impossible to see the card face from the back. It is the standard for playing cards, game cards, and any deck where card content must remain hidden during play.
Are there import duties on card decks shipped to the US?
Card decks are classified differently from printed books and are not exempt from tariffs. The applicable duty rate depends on the product classification. We clarify the full landed cost before you commit to any order, and we offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping so you know the total price upfront.
Why Choose QinPrinting for Card Decks?

We offer 300 gsm and 350 gsm coated cardstock as standard, plus 310 gsm black core for playing cards, game cards, and any deck where card content must remain hidden. Every card is die-cut with precision for clean, consistent edges.
