You have a variety of customization options to choose from when designing and printing custom scratch off cards.
Scratcher Color Options
The scratch-off layer is available in a variety of colors. The most common choices are gold, silver, and black. For larger-volume orders, we can also provide additional custom color options, allowing you to match the scratch-off layer to your brand style or achieve a unique visual effect.
Scratcher Shapes
Besides selecting the scratcher’s color, you can also choose its shape. Scratchers are readily available in standard shapes such as round, square, and rectangular, but custom configurations can be created for high-volume orders.
Multiple Scratchers Per Card
You can include multiple scratchers on a single card or ticket for increased flexibility and participation. This enables you to provide multiple prizes, discounts, or promotional messages on a single card, increasing the value and excitement for your consumers.
Scratcher Printing
We can print on the surface of the scratch-off layer to add icons, text, or simple graphics. Please note that scratcher printing is limited to one single color.
Conventional VS Softer Scratchers
We offer two types of scratch-off coatings for your cards. One is a softer coating that is very easy to remove—customers can scratch it off effortlessly, even with their fingernails. The other is a firmer, more durable coating that is not as easy to scrape away and is suitable for applications requiring added protection.
For most promotional cards, giveaway cards, and general scratch-off cards, we recommend using the softer scratch-off coating, as it provides a smoother and more user-friendly experience.

Paper Stock Options
We offer two high-quality paper stock options to suit different printing needs. Our 250gsm to 350gsm (9pt to 16pt) C2S cardstock is ideal for double-sided printing, providing a smooth, coated surface on both sides. It is available in either gloss or matte finishes, delivering vibrant color reproduction and a premium appearance.
For projects that require printing on only one side, we also provide 250gsm to 350gsm (14pt to 20pt) C1S cardstock. This paper features a coated front for sharp, vivid printing and an uncoated back that is suitable for writing or leaving blank. Both options work perfectly with our scratch-off coatings and ensure a clean, satisfying scratch-off experience.
How to Prepare Your Scratch-Off Card Artwork?
Protected Area
Leave a 1.5 mm safe zone around the scratch-off area to prevent any important text or logos from being covered.
Image Quality
Use 300 PPI images to ensure clear, sharp printing without pixelation.
File & Bleed
Submit artwork as a PDF with 3 mm bleed to avoid white edges after trimming.
To help you avoid errors and ensure smooth production, we provide free file checking before printing. Our team will review your artwork for layout accuracy, correct scratch-off positioning, bleed settings, and other technical requirements.
