Custom advertising magazine artwork tips
According to common practice, advertisers support most of the page’s ad artworks for the magazine. Because different advertisers use different designing software, the final printing file might not fit the magazine’s size. Before you upload the printing file, please resize all advertisement pages and make them the same as your magazine’s size. Additionally, please make sure the ads have 3mm bleed on top, bottom, left and right. Different advertisers might also provide the artworks in different formats. Please convert all artworks to a standard PDF format.
Binding and paper tips
If the advertising magazine is a takeaway magazine and total page including the cover is less than 64 pages, we suggest you do self-cover saddle stitch magazines and select a thinner paper for the interiors. Some examples include 80gsm, 105gsm, and 128gsm gloss art paper or matte art paper. Self-cover saddle stitch magazine is the most economical solution in magazine printing. Our suggestion is that you divide the page count of self-cover saddle stitch magazines by 16. If the magazine’s total page count including the cover is more than 64 pages, we suggest you opt for the perfect binding technique. Then the cover selected must be of 157gsm or 200gsm gloss art paper or matte art paper. In addition, the interior pages must be of 80gsm, 105gsm gloss art paper or matte art paper.
We are an offset printer. Our MOQ is 100pcs. However, when you choose to print over 500pcs you will get prices that are more economical for your order. Irrespective of how many advertising magazines you print, we need to create CTP plates and need to adjust the printing machines and binding machines every single time. Even if you print less quantity, the CTP cost remains the same. Therefore, printing more is a more economical solution.
